More snow... (Part II)
Nada. At least in the city.
Maybe Zeus is just playing with us.
I'm sure forecasters alert people just to boost sales on grocery stores.

From Milford Mill to Lexington Market in 20 mins.
Every winter (or just when I feel lazy to drive) I have the opportunity to use the so called, and I quote someone "Ghetto-metro".
Is not that bad at all, I don't know why it got that label...anyway, here's a brief pictoral of what you might see if you travel through these 2 points...well, is not a virtual tour of what you might see through the window, but at least you'll see what's at the entrance and exit of both stations.
**No. I haven't gone beyond Lexigton Market station.

Baltimore's Public Transportation
When it comes to public transportation in Baltimore I would say that their efficency (at least on the subway) is remarkable. Subway, buses and lightrails in the US follow a schedule, not random arrivals or departures like in Mexico. At first, I was amazed on how a bus (inside the city) can reach its destination on time, bus stops have schedules of the different routes so you don't have to be out in the cold/rain/snow waiting for the bus to arrive. This same schedule can be accessed online.
These benefits doesn't come cheap though...$1.60 dlls. ONE way.

An addendum already?
First of all: Yes, this is one more blog on the Web. No, I do not have the intention to publish the latest news or updates of what's going on around the globe. Maybe, I will publish one or two things that I believe can be helpful...to who? (you might ask) Well, I don't know either...
Just keep coming back and be surprised (or dissapointed) of what a Mexican-Italian-American family in Baltimore, Maryland can do.
Oh, BTW. All the photos you will see in this blog will indirectly come from my Nokia 6600 a.k.a "Il Pancione".
If my "Geekery" permits, I will be able to update this blog directly from my cell phone. In the meantime, I'll do it "old-school".

Fetching 101
Training a dog, according to several manuals is easy, is just a matter of being consistent with the commands.
Fetching, in the other hand is a game that puppies love to do, in our case, Bert-O love his squeaky-frog, he'll carry it around if he doesn't get distracted with my slippers. We will throw his frog through our living room and Bert-O will gallop towards it and bring it back to us. (Yes, I did mention "gallop").
Do puppies can also fetch a cup of coffee with a little bit of milk?

Kablog
As I mentioned before, one of my goals for this blog is to have the ability of update it (with photos) via cell phone. Fortunately I found the missing link! It's name Kablog.
This company developed a small piece of software that in theory it will let me update this blog via my wireless carrier (Cingular).
But, as usually happen, this will not be a simple task, all the elements in play need to be perfectly synchronized (or configured, to this matter) and Kablog's manual is missing...
Who need a manual anyway!

Canton's Pearls
Saturday night: Simone, Michael, Holly, Luciana and me went to have dinner at this contemporary restaurant in Canton. Great ambience (lounge-type decoration, with live light jazz music on the background).
OK food: 2 out of 5. Originally our poll showed a 3 out of 5, but for the price tag of the entrees and its portion's size (specially my entree), we decided to downgrade its rate.
Hehe...since when I rate restaurants? Man! I will give a 5 out of 5 to DoubleTT's "Bacon Cheese Burger Deluxe"!.

Bert-O's Bath
Puppies have a lot of built-in features (like brand-new cars) Puppies chew...puppies pee...puppies cry, etc. and like a new car, they also enjoy being washed. (Yes. Cars do enjoy being washed!)
Bert-O's first reaction to puppy-shampoo was OK, he didn't got crazy, but the smell is not pleasant. I guess a lot of people is familiar with the smell of a wet dog. The smell on wet puppy is the same (on a lower grade though) but still...
Bottom line: We still love Bert-O with his new smell of..."Aloe vera" (according to the manufacturer).

Olives...
This is a mystery for me. I do remember eating olives when I was in Mexico...you know, at some friends' parties or family gatherings. I could label myself as a "casual-olive-consumer" and that's it, but lately I have some type of olive-craving.
Is this behavior normal? Maybe men at my age need some kind of chemical element that reside on the pepper inside the olive...hmmm.

Luciana's sandwiches rule!
Yeah! I don't know how exactly they are done (even though she has told me several times its process). I know they contain common "sandwiches fixes" but still, I don't know what's her sandwich secret.
No. I was not starving when I wrote this entry.

Snow = Fun!
For the first time Bert-O was introduced to the snow. At first, he couldn't understand why (or how) the green grass he used to roam on a daily basis, suddenly became white and fluffy...it just took him a few minutes to search for his beloved green grass with his nose as a shovel (you'll get the picture).

Bert-O's first vet visit...
Today was Bert-O's first vet appointment, nothing to worry. Luciana and I just wanted to create a "relation" with his new doctor. The vet (which I don't remember his name) agreed that Bert-O is a top-notch 10 lbs. puppy.
One thing that kinda gross me is the de-worming process of a puppy, the doctor gave to Bert-O a strange yellowish substance that according to him this will purge (or flush) any residual of worm life from his first stage of de-worming.
--"Those worms are like thin spaghettis", he claimed. (yuck!)
BTW, Bert-O is insured (a la PPO).
**Update: "No thin spaghettis" from Bert-O so far...
