Canton's Pearls
Saturday night: Simone, Michael, Holly, Luciana and me went to have dinner at this contemporary restaurant in Canton. Great ambience (lounge-type decoration, with live light jazz music on the background).
OK food: 2 out of 5. Originally our poll showed a 3 out of 5, but for the price tag of the entrees and its portion's size (specially my entree), we decided to downgrade its rate.
Hehe...since when I rate restaurants? Man! I will give a 5 out of 5 to DoubleTT's "Bacon Cheese Burger Deluxe"!.

The best part of Pearls was definitely the ambiance -- a jazz trio, open kitchen, and cozy lighting. The corn and crab chowder was heavenly, and the cosmos chilly and refreshing. The grilled fish entree was fairly flavorless, with a champagne mango sauce to subtle to notice and a side stack of salty oyster pancakes. The passionfruit sorbet with ginger sauce was a bit of a letdown, along with the creme brulee which met no one's expectations. Actually, maybe the best part was the company. . .
